Cultural Threads is a cross-cultural ensemble led by Nirvana, bringing together musicians from diverse musical traditions to create a unique fusion experience. The group weaves together sounds from different parts of the world, blending instruments such as guitar, Persian tanbur, Mongolian yatga.

Through original arrangements and cross-cultural interpretations, Cultural Threads explores the connections between musical traditions, creating a rich and immersive performance that celebrates diversity, dialogue, and shared human expression.

Nirvana Bista is a session guitarist, educator, and musical director with a deep-rooted passion for cross-cultural music. With a master’s degree in music performance, he currently lectures at Excelsia University College, where he guides the next generation of musicians through a fusion of jazz improvisation, world music, and modern technique.
As the co-director of Sangam Productions, he strives to bridge musical traditions, blending diverse sounds into immersive experiences. His jazz influence, infused with blues and global styles, shapes both his playing and teaching philosophy. He was the featured guitarist, co-producer, and musical director for Hari Maharjan Project’s latest album, Swaniga: Culture in Sync, a testament to the seamless fusion of Nepalese heritage and contemporary expression.
