Local Edition is a spacious, flexible venue on Broadway in Glebe, available for workshops, exhibitions, live performances, talks, launches, rehearsals, creative projects and private gatherings.

With approximately 200 m² of open floor space, white walls, timber-look flooring and a simple, adaptable layout, the venue can be shaped around your event rather than the other way around

What’s Included

The standard venue hire includes access to:

• Approximately 200 m² of open, flexible space
• Ground-floor access
• Heating and air conditioning
• General overhead lighting
• Two stage lights
• One large table (approximately 2 metres)
• Sink
• Toilet
• Power access throughout the venue

The venue does not have a kitchen.

Sound & Projection

One of the things that makes Local Edition particularly suited to performances, talks and creative events is the option to access our professional in-house sound equipment.

Our PA setup includes:

• 2 × Yamaha DBR15 15" powered PA speakers
• 2 × Yamaha DBR10 10" powered PA speakers
• Allen & Heath ZED60-14FX mixer with effects
• Shure SM58 vocal microphone
• 2 × Shure SM57 instrument microphones
• Rode M5 matched-pair condenser microphones
• A range of professional microphone cables

Professional sound equipment is available at an additional cost.                                                                                  A Video projector is also available at an additional cost.

A Few Things to Know

We want to keep venue hire simple.The space will be provided clean and ready to use, and we ask that it is returned in substantially the same condition.

Normal use doesn't mean you need to leave the venue polished from top to bottom. We simply ask that rubbish and any significant mess created during your event are removed and the space is left tidy.

Any damage to the venue, walls, doors, flooring, fixtures or equipment will be the responsibility of the hirer. Please don't drill, nail, permanently attach items to walls or make alterations to the space without prior approval.

Event times and music requirements should be discussed with us when booking. Under the building rules, musical instruments must not be played between 10:00 pm and 8:00 am, and events must not create unreasonable disturbance to neighbouring premises.                                                                                         For certain events, additional requirements such as public liability insurance may apply.
